Travel Tips & Information
Here is the basic information about Kanagawa as a reference for planning your trip.
Many of the venues for sporting events in the Sagamihara/Atsugi area are not easily accessible by train from major stations in Tokyo. Many of the venues are far from the nearest train station. Therefore, it is a convenient area if you can drive a car. Depending on the event, there may be an extra shuttle bus from the nearest station, so please check the organizer's website or contact us for more information.
If you are planning to stay in this area, there are hotels around Machida station. However, We think it would be better to stay at a hotel in the Tokyo or Yokohama area, even if it takes longer after the game. Or if you plan to visit the Hakone area the next day, staying at a hotel in Machida Station is a great choice.
There are not many tourist spots in the Sagamihara and Atsugi areas, but the Sagamihara Branch of the National Film Archive and the JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) Sagamihara Campus.
When it comes to eating in Kanagawa Prefecture, you can enjoy E.A.K Ramen and a meal in Chinatown. Don't forget to try the Shumai lunch box from Kiyoken.
