Sagamihara Union Stadium is an athletic stadium located in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The stadium is the home stadium of the J-League team ”SC Sagamihara.”

Getting to the Stadium

By Train

The nearest station is Harataima Station on the JR Sagami Line, and it takes about 20 minutes to walk from the station. However, the JR Sagamihara line is not very accessible from major stations in Tokyo. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, including transfer time from Tokyo Station and a little more than 1 hour from JR Yokohama Station in the same prefecture.

By Bus

The stadium can also be accessible by bus from Odakyu and JR stations.

  1. Odakyu Line, Sagami-Ono Station North Exit
    Take bus No. 60 bounds for "Joshibi University of Art and Design" and get off at "Joshibi University of Art and Design" then 5 minutes walk.
    Time & Fare: 20 minutes (270 yen) 

  2. JR Yokohama Line, Kobuchi Station
    Take bus No. 4 or 5 bound for "Joshibi University of Art and Design" and get off at Joshibi University of Art and Design then 5 minutes walk.
    Time & Fare: 20 minutes (220 yen)

Sagamihara GION Stadium is an athletic stadium-type venue. The seating area's front rows are not the best choice for watching a soccer or rugby match, so the middle and upper rows are better.

Many of the venues for sporting events in the Sagamihara/Atsugi area are not easily accessible by train from major stations in Tokyo. Many of the venues are far from the nearest train station. Therefore, it is a convenient area if you can drive a car. Depending on the event, there may be an extra shuttle bus from the nearest station, so please check the organizer's website or contact us for more information.

2. "Where to Stay" in Sagamihara, Atsugi

If you are planning to stay in this area, there are hotels around Machida station. However, We think it would be better to stay at a hotel in the Tokyo or Yokohama area, even if it takes longer after the game. Or if you plan to visit the Hakone area the next day, staying at a hotel in Machida Station is a great choice.

3. "What to Do & See" in Sagamihara, Atsugi

There are not many tourist spots in the Sagamihara and Atsugi areas, but the Sagamihara Branch of the National Film Archive and the JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) Sagamihara Campus.
