Let's go to Kushiro to watch the East Hokkaido Crains!

Coronaviruses have also had a significant impact on the sports world. In particular, the Asian League of Ice Hockey, which consists of leagues from multiple countries, abandoned the traditional season at the beginning of July, and the 2020-2021 season will be held from January to April in a different way than usual.

https://www.alhockey.jp/news/2020/07/2020-2021.html

If the Asian League is only a Japanese team, it will be the following four teams.

Nikko Icebacks (Nikko Kirise Ice Arena, Tochigi)

Hitachi Hokkaido Crains (Hokkaido Nippon Paper Ice Arena)

Red Eagles Hokkaido (Hokkaido Shiratori Prince Ice Arena)

Tohoku Free Blaze (Technol Ice Park Hachinohe, Aomori)

At this stage, the J.League and professional baseball are playing an audience game with a maximum of 5000 players, but it is still uncertain. But it's best to be ready to watch the game until the day comes.

Here, I would like to show you a spectator trip to Kushiro, home of The Crains, Hokkaido.

Kushiro, home to the Nippon Paper Ice Arena, is a town with a population of about 160,000 people famous for kushiro marshland and marine products in hokkaido's Doto region. In summer, the greenery of Kushiro Marsh is abundant, and even in August, the average temperature is about 20 degrees Celsius, and in winter the average temperature is very cold at minus 5 degrees Celsius, but you can enjoy the open-air bath in the hot spring while watching the snow, it is a town where you can feel the four seasons firmly.

It is also the birthplace of Zangi, Hokkaido's soul food, and because it is a port town, seafood is also very delicious, and there are many ranches when you travel by car, so you can enjoy food such as delicious sweets using dairy products.

Although there is little snowfall in Hokkaido, Winter Sports is a city where skating is more active than skiing and snowboarding.

Kushiro City has several ice arenas and speed skating stations, including the ice arena where "Hitachi Hokkaido Crains" is home.

In addition, not skates, ice hockey performed in boots, the name of which is also famous as "long ice hockey", its history is about 40 years, but there is also a tournament in which many people, from elementary school students to the general public, participate. In ad
dition, Kushiro, along with Bali and Manila, has been selected as one of the "world's three most beautiful sunsets" as one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world, and sailors traveling around the world say, "The sunset at Kushiro's port is one of the most beautiful in the world!" It is said that it was selected from t
he mouth. Please visit such a city of Kushiro by all means!

About access

It is about 4 km away from Kushiro Station, and it is basically a venue that can be accessed by car. There is also a city bus service, but because of the small number of trains, it is not practical to use the city bus f
or Crains games. Please check the team's website to see if there is a shuttle bus servic
e. If you do not have a shuttle bus, you can access it by taxi or car rental. If y
ou use a taxi, be sure to use it from Kushiro Station. The nearest stati
on seems to be Shin-Fuji Station, but this is a station where you don't think there is a taxi at the station. Hockey season is basically a cold season, so it is more reliable to use a taxi from Kushiro Station.

Kushiro Tancho Airport

If you arrive at Kushiro by air, you will arrive at Kushiro Tancho Airport.

Kushiro arrives from Haneda Airport in about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and every day there are three round-trip flights: JAL and ANA (including AIR DO codeshare flights).

It is about 20 kilometers from the airport to the center of Kushiro, and it is a sense of distance that can be arrived in about 30 minutes by car. The main ways to get to the center from the airport are car rental, taxis, buses and more. Kushiro has a lot of attractions in the suburbs, so I think car rental is the best choice, but if you watch it in the middle of winter during the hockey season, the weather may be quite bad, so please change your choice depending on the time of year and length of stay.

Accommodation

In Kushiro, the area centered on the beautiful Mint Mai bridge of the sunset, the hotel is substantial, and the food shop has more choices. Th
ere are many hotels of the type like the route-in near Kushiro station. Therefor
e, if you want to stay as a sightseeing, I think that the area around the Mint Mai Bridge is more convenient. If
you want to get to the station from Mintmai Bridge, it's only a 15-minute walk, so it's not too far.

Attractions in Kushiro

Kushiro Marsh

Kushiro is famous for Kushiro Marsh, but it is so vast and has an area of about 28,000 hectares, which is about the size that Tokyo's 23 wards can ent
er as it is. So, I'm not sure where to look from, but Kushiro Marsh has an observatory at each point. If you go to the obs
ervatory, you can look down on the vast Kushiro Marsh and feel the size, and there is also a promenade, so you can enjoy a walk.
You can feel the blueness of the trees in summer, and in winter you can see the silver world after it snows. However, depending on the observatory, you may have to walk for almost an hour on foot, so be careful.

Norocco

The Norocco is a train that enjoys riding from Kushiro Station to Kushiro Station while looking at Kushiro Marsh. Because it runs near the marsh like the observatory, there is a different way to enjoy it. On the way, stop at Higashi-Kushiro, Kushiro Marsh, and Hosooka stations, and Kushiro is the last stop. If you enjoy traveling only by train, take the train from Kushiro Station, which leaves about 20 minutes later, to Kushiro Station, and you will be sightseeing by train for a
bout 2 hours. As a stop point, if you get off at Kushiro Marsh Station, you can get to Hosooka Observatory in about 15 minutes on foot.

Hosooka Observatory

Among the several observation decks, the most popular one is this Hosooka Observatory. It is
attractive that access is good. If it is
a train, you can get off Kushiro Marsh Station and go to the observatory in about 15 minutes on foot, and if you are by car, it is not 10 minutes from the parking lot.
There is also a visitor center, so there is also a sense of security.

Kushiro Wetland Observatory

Here, the roof of the building is an observation deck, and there is a charge, but the observatory in this building looks like a rather wetland and the opposite side. If you park your car in the parking lot of this observatory and walk about 20 minutes on foot, there is a satellite observatory, so from there, it will be a wetland-like view. You can
go to this satellite observatory for free. So, i
f you enter the building at Kushiro City Wetland Observatory, business hours are fixed for a fee, but if it is a satellite observatory, it is an image that you can go at any time.

Sunset seen from The Mint Mai Bridge

In Kushiro, there are many movie locations such as "Tora-san torayo", "Hanamizuki" and "We were there", but it is "Mint Maibashi" which is about a 15-minute walk from JR Kushiro Station. And, the sunset
of Kushiro is chosen as "the world's three largest sunsets", but the sunset over the sea seen from this Mint Mai Bridge is very beautiful. The suns
et over the horizon gradually dyes the sea orange, and its appearance is very fantastic, and when you go to Kushiro, I would like you to see and experience the economy with your own eyes.

ere the seafood material is sold. Therefore, you can buy as much fresh seafood as you want to eat, put it on white rice, and make your own seafood bowl and eat it.

I can't choose the seafood bowl I eat in the cafeteria by myself, either because I'm not good at this material, or if I wanted to eat more of it.
With "Handydon", you can make seafood bowls with only seafood material that you want to eat.

"Spakatsu" is a B class gourmet, it is a soul food of Kushiro, I think that there is no person who does not know in Kushiro.

On a hot iron plate, it's not Al dente at all, "Isn't this a little stretched?" It is a dish with spaghetti on it, a tonkatsu on top of the spaghetti, and a lot of meat sauce on top of the tonkatsu. Kushiro people are famous enough to eat many tim
es since they were children, and originally they have a volume, but when they are in full scale, they have a large amount of spaghetti in a hot iron plate frying pan and two tonkatsu. Even so, male high school students
are so delicious that they eat with perari. Of course, there are a lot of people
who eat it even after it becomes an adult, and it is a soul food familiar for the person in Kushiro for a long time so that "Spa cutlet when it says Izumiya" anyway. By the way, there are many spaghetti menus in Izumiya, but the salty spaghetti called "Izumiya-style" is also famous, and Izumiya-style has become a menu of convenience store bento.

There are three locations: Restaurant Izumiya Head Office, AEON Kushiro Store, and Big House Store.

There is "Zangi" in Hokkaido's soul food, but the origin of Zangi is here "Torimatsu". Even if you eat it as

Kushiro is famous for lying in many soba shops, but the green soba containing chlorella is common for Kushiro soba. Marumi Edo-east soba is also green, but the shrimp tempura that comes with "Tenmaru" here is very big, crispy, crispy, crispy, and the soba is delicious, but the tempura is also v

delicious. "Tensoru" with zaru soba, tsuketsuyu, tempura and warm tentsuyu is a very satisfying taste. The m

t famous soba shop in Kushiro will be a shop called "Takeroen" that the Emperor of Showa has also visited. It has become famous that the Emperor has changed his place. If you are interested in it, please go there.

Souvenirs of Kushiro

Ichiro Toba

Kushiro is a port town, so many people choose seafood as souvenirs. This "toba Ichiro" is a salty taste that dried sliced salmon. There seems to be a lot of people who drink sake, but I think that the person who does not drink sake can eat deliciously. There are many kinds of persimmons sold by various companies, but personally, I think that this "Toba Ichiro" is the most delicious and will be pleased with souvenirs.

The egg of the new egg

It is a sweet wrapped in cream with white ball powder from Kushiro. It is a cake with cream of various flavors in a firm mochi, and similar sweets are other products, but I think that the mysterious naming of "neta egg" and the cream which stuck to the raw material of Hokkaido are very delicious, and I think that it is pleased with the souvenir. It is sold frozen at a shop at Kushiro Airport.

Sanmanma

It is a local gourmet of Kushiro where a large leaf is put on top of the cooked rice, and it is wrapped up to one whole. When I held a Hokkaido product exhibition in Kanto, I have opened many stores, so many of you may know, but I think that you will be pleased with souvenirs for those who like Sanma.

Sightseeing in the suburbs of Kushiro

Ta peace observatory

It is a ranch that can see the 360 degree horizon which can be done in less than 1 hour and 30 minutes by car from Kushiro station.

It's a very vast place, and you can see the 360-degree horizon from the observatory, so you can say, "The earth is really round! It is a place where you can have a very valuable experience that you can confirm.

If you go during the day, you can see the horizon of 360 degrees, and if you go on a sunny night, you can see a very beautiful starry sky.

There are no buildings around that overlook the 360-degree horizon, so if you go here on a sunny night in the new moon, you'll see countless stars twinkle that are likely to be sucked up when you look up, you can see the River of Heaven, and you can see a number of flowing stars flowing through the River of Heaven.

Lake Akan

Lake Akan is a less than two-hour drive from Kushiro Station. Lake Akan is famous for Marimo, but in summer you can go around the lake on a cruise boat, in winter you can run on an ice-covered lake with snowmobiles, you can do wakasagi fishing, and it is not very big, but there is also a ski resort.

In addition, the hot spring is famous, and there are many hotels around Lake Akan, where you can take a day trip bath. There is also Ainu Kotan, a place where you can experience Ainu history, folk art and dance. It may feel far w
hen you hear that it is less than two hours by car, but in Hokkaido, there are few signals and there are many straight roads, so if you enjoy driving while looking at the surrounding scenery, you will feel two hours in no time.

Mashu

Lake Mashu is about an hour and a half from Kushiro.

It is often covered with fog so that there is a song called Lake Mashu of fog, but Lake Mashu seen on a sunny day when there is no fog is said to be "Mashu Blue" with very vivid blue. This is the second most transparent lake in the world, so there are few reflections other than blue from its transparency, and on sunny days, bright blue seems to shine.

If you come to Kushiro, please come to Akkeshi!

Akkeshi Town is about an hour's drive from Kushiro to Nemuro. Oysters from Akke
shi are famous. Oysters in Akkeshi can be eaten all year year. By all me
