Yokohama Excellence is a member of the B3 of the B League (Japan Professional Basketball League).
Tokyo Excellence competed in B2 during the 2016-2017 season, the opening season of the B-League, but was unable to secure a "home court with a capacity of about 3,000 people," which is the standard for a B2 license, so its B2 license was revoked after one season and it was demoted to B3 the following season.
From the 2021-2022 season, the home town will be changed to Yokohama and the team name will be Yokohama Excellence.
