Denka Big Swan Stadium (Niigata Stadium)

Denka Big Swan Stadium is the home stadium of Albirex Niigata of the J-League and is located in Niigata Prefecture Sports Park. In the past, the stadium has also hosted the 2002 Japan-Korea World Cup matches.

Getting to the Stadium

Niigata Sports Park has located about 5 km from Niigata Station, and city buses run from the south exit of JR Niigata Station to this area. (Depends on the time of day, there may be one bus every hour.)

On J-League match days, a shuttle bus service is available from the south exit of JR Niigata Station, so please use that service. For more information, please visit the Albirex Niigata website.

Niigata Station

Niigata Station is the last stop of the Joetsu Shinkansen Line. Depending on the time of day, there may be one or two trains every hour, so please check the timetable. If you want to go to Tsukioka Onsen from here, you can take the Hakushin Line to Toyosaka Station, where some hotels offer a shuttle service.

Shuttle Bus

The photo below shows the shuttle bus stop at the south exit of JR Niigata Station, which operates on J-League match days. It is a bit far from the bus terminal at the station, but you will probably recognize it because of the supporters.
