Okayama International Skating Rink is an indoor ice skating rink located in Okanan-cho, Kita-ku, Okayama City.
It is the only ice skating rink in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions that is open year-round. It can also be rented out for figure skating, ice hockey, speed skating, and curling.
Getting to the Stadium
It is about 3.4 km from JR Okayama Station to the Okayama International Skating Rink, which is a rather difficult distance to walk. Therefore, the rink is basically accessible by bus.
Bus
Get off the bus at "Okaminami Shogakko-mae" (200 yen), and walk back toward the station. When you see the sign for Kamishin Denki, get off the bus and walk back toward the station. Turn right on the street in front of you and walk a little further to the Okayama International Skating Rink. It is about a 3-minute walk from the bus stop.
About the Stadium
The main rink of the Okayama International Skating Rink is an international standard 30m x 60m, and is equipped with NHL-specification tempered glass over fences.
