Nissan Stadium (International Stadium Yokohama)

Nissan Stadium is located in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and is the largest stadium in Japan.
It has hosted major soccer tournaments in the past, including the 2002 World Cup final and the Club World Cup, and the 2019 Rugby World Cup final.
It is also the home stadium of Yokohama F Marinos of the J-League.

Getting to the Stadium

The nearest station to the stadium is Shin-Yokohama Station. It takes about 20 minutes on foot to get off at Shin-Yokohama Station.
It takes less than 20 minutes from Tokyo Station to Shin-Yokohama Station by Tokaido Shinkansen. If you want to go from Tokyo to Shin-Yokohama by conventional train, change trains at Yokohama and it will take about 50 minutes.
From Yokohama, you can also use the Blue Line subway, which will take you to Shin-Yokohama Station in about 10 to 15 minutes.

There are paid parking lots in the vicinity of the stadium, but traffic jams in the Tokyo metropolitan area make it difficult to predict how long it will take to get there by car. For this reason, I recommend using the train to get to the stadium in this area.

About the Stadium

The stadium is a track and field type stadium with a track around the field, so if you are watching soccer or rugby, the seats near the field are not very good for viewing.
