Nekota Memorial Gymnasium is a dedicated volleyball gymnasium located in Minami-ku, Hiroshima City, and is home to the JT Sanders Hiroshima, a member of the V-League. The gymnasium is named after Mr. Katsutoshi Nekota, the world's best setter who played for the Senri Hiroshima Men's Volleyball Club, the predecessor of the JT Thunderers. The museum displays memorabilia of Mr. Katsutoshi Nekoda, and there is also a training camp next to the gymnasium.
Getting to the Stadium
Hiroshima Koiki Park Football Stadium No.1 is located in the northwestern part of Hiroshima City, and is conveniently accessible from Hiroshima City using the Astram streetcar.
Train
From Hondori Station in Kamiyacho, take the Astram to Koiki Koen-mae Station (37 minutes), and then walk 10 minutes to Hiroshima Koiki Park Football Stadium.
It is convenient to use Hondori Station if you are coming from the Peace Memorial Park area, or Kencho-mae Station or Johoku Station if you are coming from the Hiroshima Castle area. The fare from Hondori Station and Kencho-mae Station is 490 yen each way, and 450 yen from Johoku Station.
Car
Hiroshima Koiki Park Football Stadium is about a 20-minute drive from the center of Hiroshima City, and there are 720 parking spaces available at Hiroshima Koen Park.
