Akita Northern Happinets are a member of the B1 of the B-League (Japan Professional Basketball League).
As of 2021, they have never won the B1 League title.
Prior to the start of the B-League in 2016, the team participated in the BJ League, winning the division championship in the 2013-2014 and 2014-15 seasons in the BJ League.
