"What to Do & See" in Miyazaki Area

Miyazaki Jingu Shrine, where the first Emperor Jinmu is enshrined, and Heiwadai Park, where the 37-meter high Peace Tower is located, are some of the tourist attractions near Miyazaki City. Although it is a bit far away, Aoshima Shrine can also be reached by train, which is about an hour from the city.
If you go as far as Nichinan City, you will find a fully restored moai statue.
Also nearby is the Uto Shrine, located in the middle of a cliff.

Miyazaki Shrine

Miyazaki Jingu, a shrine dedicated to Emperor Jinmu, the first emperor of Japan, is one of the most popular tourist spots in Miyazaki City. It has a parking lot for 300 cars, and is only a 10-minute walk from JR Miyazaki Jingu Station, one stop away from JR Miyazaki Station.
The Miyazaki Prefectural Cultural Park is nearby, and the Miyazaki Prefectural Museum of Art and other attractions are also close by.

Miyazaki Prefectural Art Museum

The Miyazaki Prefectural Art Museum, Miyazaki Prefectural Library, and Miyazaki Prefectural Art Theater are located in the Miyazaki Prefectural Cultural Park near the Miyazaki Jingu Shrine.
It is one of the tourist spots that can be visited on foot even if you take the train to Miyazaki Jingu.

JRA Miyazaki Breeding Farm Park

The JRA Miyazaki Breeding Farm Park is formerly the Miyazaki Racecourse and is now the Winds Miyazaki and Park.
The open area is limited, and the park is more for local families.

Nichinan Coast

Aoshima Shrine

Aoshima Shrine is located on the island of Aoshima.
Therefore, to get to the shrine, you have to cross a bridge.
There is a free parking lot at Aoshima Station on the JR Nichinan Line, and it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk there.

Sun Messe Nichinan

At Sun Messe Nichinan, you can see a complete reproduction of the moai statues (5.5 meters high and weighing about 20 tons) on Easter Island.
There are also stores and restaurants in the park, and parking is free.
It is an easy location to visit together with Udo Shrine.

Udo Shrine

Less than six kilometers south of Sun Messe Nichinan is the Udo Shrine.
The main shrine is located in a cave, and you can walk up and down the stairs to get there while enjoying the spectacular view.
It is said that if you pray at the shrine and throw a luck ball into a rock called a turtle stone, your wish will come true. Men throw with their left hand and women with their right.

Aburatsu Carp Shopping Street

Aburatsu Shopping Street is located in Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture.
It is the camping ground of the Hiroshima Carp, and the town is decorated to the Carp's specifications. First of all, Aburatsu Station is decorated in Carp red, and fans will get excited. The shopping street is located right next to the station, and you can feel the love for the Carp in some of the stores in the shopping street, so it is one of the places you should definitely visit in combination with the station.

IZAKIBANA Park Observatory

In Nichinan City, you can see the "Sunrise".
So I was looking for a spot where I could see the sunrise early in the morning, and found this observatory. It is located in the middle of Aburatsu, the campground of the Hiroshima Carp, and Nango, the campground of the Seibu Lions.
