Gunma Crane Thunders, a member of B2 of the B-League, has announced that they will move their home arena to Ota City from the 2021-2022 season. The team currently uses the Yamato Civic Gymnasium Maebashi in Maebashi City as its home arena. According to the team's website, Ota City is aiming to build a new arena, which is expected to have a capacity of over 5,000 people to meet the criteria for promotion to B1, and it is planned to be built in the current Ota City Sports Park area.
