Sanga Stadium by KYOCERA (Kyoto Stadium)

Completed in 2020, Sanga Stadium by KYOCERA is the home of Kyoto Sanga F.C. of the J-League. The Sanga Stadium by KYOCERA is located just off JR Kameoka Station and is easily accessible from the station. The seating area of Sanga Stadium is made up of two levels. Since it is a soccer-specific stadium, it's easy to watch the game no matter where you sit.

Getting to the Stadium

From JR Kyoto Station

Take the Sagano Line from JR Kyoto Station and get off at Kameoka Station. It takes about 30 minutes from Kyoto Station to Kameoka Station. (about 20 minutes if you take the rapid/Kaisoku train.) The stadium is located right outside Kameoka Station.

Take the Sagano Romantic(Torokko) Train to the Sanga Stadium

The Sagano Romantic Train, a famous sightseeing train in Kyoto, connects Torokko Saga Station and Torokko Kameoka Station, but Torokko Kameoka Station is not JR Kameoka Station, where Sanga Stadium is located.

If you want to go to the game after sightseeing in Arashiyama by the Sagano Romantic Train, you can get to the stadium by the following directions.

-Take the Sagano Romantic Train to Torokko Kameoka Station.
-Get off at Trolley Kameoka and walk about 10 minutes to JR Umahori Station.
-From JR Umahori Station, take the JR Sagano Line one stop to JR Kameoka   Station.

About the Roof

As you can see in the picture below, although the roof covers the first-floor seats, it will blow in if it rains, and the front row of the first-floor seats will get wet.

If you don't want to get wet, the back row of the first-floor seats or the second-floor seats is better.
