Hakucho Oji Ice Arena

The Hakucho Oji Ice Arena was completed in 1996 and is the home of the Asian League Ice Hockey team "Red Eagles Hokkaido." It has been designated as the Japanese Olympic Committee National Training Center for skating and ice hockey and hosts training camps for Japanese men and women and international games. The Hakusho Oji Ice Arena was used as a venue for ice hockey at the Sapporo Winter Olympics, the first and second Winter Asian Games, and the Universiade Winter Games. The venue also hosted the All Japan Junior Figure Skating Championships.

Getting to the Arena

From Sapporo Station to Tomakomai Station, it takes about 50 minutes by the Hokuto limited express and the fare is 2830 yen one way. If you take Chitose Line, it takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes and the fare is 1680 yen one way.
If you are only going to Tomakomai, it is more convenient to stay near the airport than Sapporo. It takes about 15 minutes by walk from Tomakomai Station to the venue.
