Getting There & Around Kushiro / Lake Akan

Kushiro Tancho Airport

From Haneda Airport to Kushiro Tancho Airport, it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes by flight, and there are 3 round-trip flights each day, by JAL and ANA (Include AIR DO codeshare flights). It is about 20 kilometers from the airport to the center of Kushiro, and it takes about 30 minutes by car. There are several ways to get to the city area from the airport: by car, taxi or bus.

There are many attractions in the suburbs of Kushiro, so I think a rental car is the best choice, but if you watch a game in the middle of winter during the hockey season, the weather can be quite bad, so please change your choice depending on the season and the length of stay.

By Bus
The shuttle bus to Kushiro City departs from the airport about 20 minutes after the plane's arrival. Buses operate according to all flight arrival times. Fare (one way): Adult 950yen/Child Half price.

By Taxi
It will be about 6500 yen from the airport to Kushiro city by taxi.

Car Rentals
There are several rental car companies in the Kushiro Tancho Airport area, so it is convenient to make a reservation in advance.
Companies: Toyota Rent a Car, Nippon Rent a Car, Nissan Rent a Car, Times Car, Orix Rent a Car.
